Welcome to the HCHPH Billing Department Webpage
My role as the Senior Medical billing specialist is to manage the billing processes for Home Health and Homemakers. This includes, managing medical billing for patients, updating patient information, generating invoices, and processing payments.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept checks and cash. We do not accept credit/debit cards at this time.
The cost of Home Healthand Homemaker services are based on many factors. What insurance do you have? Do you have Medicaid? Do you have Medicare? What do you have for income?
When you call to inquire about services, please make sure you have the following information ready ;
There are a number of different options to pay for Home Health services
1. Iowa currently has seven HCBS Waivers in the Waiver Program that provides service funding and individualized supports to maintain eligible members in their own homes or communities who would otherwise require care in a medical institution.
2. You may pay privately. Your fee would be based on a sliding fee scale. Sliding scale fees are variable prices for services based on a client’s ability to pay. Such fees are thereby reduced for those who have lower incomes, or alternatively, less money to spare after their personal expenses, regardless of income.
3. We do work with some private insurance company’s such as the VA and Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Talk to your insurance company to see if you are eligible for Home Health services.
4. State Grant.- In order to be eligible for the grant all other funding sources must be attempted. There could be a waiting list
