History: Started Public Health nursing at HCHPH in 2013 after more than a decade of inpatient nursing in cardiac care, Labor and Delivery/Postpartum, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Jennie Ed and UNMC. She has worked on a wide variety of grants and services including Maternal and child health(Title V), Family Planning Services (Title X), STD screening/treatment(Community Based Screening Services), Baby Café-Lactation Consulting/support/education, Vaccines for Children, Covid-19 vaccine program, Pandemic Influenza, Pandemic Covid-19, disease investigation including COVID-19, Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, and emergency preparedness. She also serves on several coalitions including Healthy Harrison Coalition, Iowa Breastfeeding Coalition, Southwest Iowa Breastfeeding Coalition, Prevention Means Progress Coalition, and the Southwest Iowa Coalition on Human Trafficking.
